About

One person, two jobs

A fully qualified beauty and holistic therapist, and an accredited training provider — in one calm room in Kilmarnock.

Hello

I’m Donna

I’m a fully qualified beauty and holistic therapist, and the founder of Blissful Beauty & Alternative Therapies in Kilmarnock. I do the treatments, I run the Training Academy, and I answer the messages. It’s me, all the way through.

What I’m known for is the treatments — lashes and brows especially, and a fair bit of corrective work over things other people have done. But the part clients keep writing about isn’t technical. It’s that the room is calm, that nobody’s rushing them, and that they leave feeling better than when they walked in.

That’s the actual job. The lashes are how I do it.

Why both

Treating and teaching keep each other honest

Plenty of academies are run by people who stopped taking clients years ago. That’s how you end up being taught techniques nobody actually uses any more.

Still in the chair

I treat clients every week. Everything I teach is something I did on a real person recently — not something I learned once and have been repeating since.

Accredited to teach it

The Academy’s courses are accredited and insurable. That’s not a marketing line; it’s the thing that decides whether you can work afterwards.

Straight with you

Whether you’re a client asking for a look that won’t suit you or a trainee who isn’t ready for volume yet, I’ll say so kindly and tell you what to do instead.

The room

Nelson Street, Kilmarnock

Unit 2, 22 Nelson Street, Kilmarnock. It’s a proper room — clean, warm, quiet, ground floor, with parking nearby. Not a corner of a salon with three other people talking over you.

It’s the same room the Academy trains in, which is deliberate. When you qualify with me, you learned in a working treatment room, on real clients, in the conditions you’ll actually work in.
